This kind of piercing is done but puncturing the tissue of the septum inside the nose. A ring is commonly worn for this kind of piercing. The rarest kind of piercing is the piercing of the nose bridge. This kind of piercing is common amongst some tribes and barbells are generally worn on the bridge.

Selecting a nose ring
While piercing the nose and purchasing a nose ring, the material that you consider is important. Trendy jewelry for the nose is available in all kinds and therefore it is important that you decide on the kind of piercing and then purchase the jewelry for it. Gold, titanium, surgical steel or niobium makes for the best choices when the piercing is fresh. Once the nose has healed you can switch to trendy jewelry pieces made of sterling silver.

Care while piercing your nose
It is extremely important that certain things are kept in mind while piercing the nose as these are vital to the nose tissue healing well. The nose should never be pierced with a piercing gun as this damages the tissue and can even cause infections like HIV. You should remember that healing of a pierced nose can take up to 12 months and therefore good care should be taken of it during this period. Always ensure that your hands are clean when you touch the piercing and never take out the piece of jewelry until the wound has healed completely.
